This is a blog about life. More specifically, my life and the exhausting amount of energy I spend trying to make sense of it.

What's your wagon?
Over the past few months, we’ve all heard someone say, “ I’ve fallen off the wagon.” In fact, I find myself saying it much more lately. Oprah recently announced she had fallen off the wagon by gaining weight. While on the campaign trail, President Obama stated that he had fallen off the wagon by having a cigeratte. So I began to wonder, what’s the point of the wagon? I mean do we ever acknowledge that we’re still on the wagon or loudly sing our own praises about being wagon-riders. Of course, we don’t. But if we fall off we feel ashamed of ourselves. I think we should set goals for ourselves and try our best to reach them. I also think that we should realize that we aren’t perfect therefore we will always “fall off the wagon” at some point. So from this day forward, I am embracing the fact that I will occasionally fall off the wagon. I’m also happy that wagons are pretty low to the ground and tend to move pretty slowly so when I fall off I won’t get hurt too badly. What’s your wagon?

I gave up coffee for Lent and I haven't fallen off the wagon yet but once Easter gets here I'm going to set the wagon on fire.
Very cute! I have a garage full of wagons and I don't think I'm riding any of them. You've given me a great idea though. I think instead of harping on being off of the wagon, I will celebrate more when I'm on. Thanks for the insight! I love your posts because they are short, sweet, to the point, and they always give us something to ponder in the end. Aren't you glad I--ahem--I mean somebody convinced you to start this blog?
I guess Ophrah and I have something in common. I can't stay on a diet or exercise program. Something always comes up. But as soon as I can't fit something that I could a few months ago, I go back on the diet or exercise program. I may fall off, but I enjoy it while I can. Cake, cookies, popcorn and pancakes. Oh well, I will be dieting in a few weeks. Ha Ha..
i fell of the exercise wagon, too, last week. but i'm back on it doggoneit!!
I too have fallen off of the fitness wagon, however, I have recently committed to paying better attention to my overall health. It's going well so far; however, I do understand that I can only take it one day at a time.
I thoroughly enjoyed this blog because I know all of us can relate to it in some way and you are so right in that, we WILL fall off the wagon.
I suppose of my many wagons, i.e. weight, faith, food, men, friends, dreams, and family, I am thankful that I can pick myself up again and ride the good ride of life and know that my wagon(s) will survive and through trust and faith, so will I.
I agree with you. Lets see, my wagon is trying to get a flat tummy. Those who follow my get fit friday know that I fall off every 2 weeks or so. But like you said, the wagon moves slow and is low to the ground, so I can get back up.
wagon = complete satisfaction with monogamy, or to put it more gently, the ability to maintain boundaries with the opposite sex when there is mutual attraction
